I hate Chelsea but I'm looking forward to Jose Mourinho hopefully being back in the Premiership next season.

I can't believe Sir Alex Ferguson is actually retiring.
When I switched on the TV today and they were playing an emotional tribute video to him I honestly thought he had died at first. I really didn't expect him to retire yet. I thought he was going to stay on as manager for a couple more years.
Next season is going to be VERY interesting with someone else managing United (not to mention Jose Mourinho probably being back at Chelsea).

If I had a Wigan shirt I'd be wearing it today.
EDIT: They won!!!
I hope they avoid relegation too now.

It's kinda annoying hearing about the same transfer stories all summer long. No matter what their managers are saying right now, everyone knows Wayne Rooney is leaving Manchester United and Luis Suarez is leaving Liverpool. Although they probably won't happen until days or even hours before the transfer window closes so we'll still have to listen to all this speculation for another month.
Oh, and Cristiano Ronaldo hits the ball so hard that he's capable of accidentally breaking people's arms. From this past weekend:

So glad football season is back. I hate that 2-3 month period when the sports news has to pretend that cricket/tennis/formula one is more important than usual just for the sake of having something to talk about.
I think Man City and Chelsea will battle for the title this year with Man United being quite a bit behind them.
I'd love it if Arsenal were able to get Suarez and Fellaini because those two signings alone would put them in title contention. I don't think they have a chance of getting either though. Suarez will probably go to Spain and if Fellaini leaves Everton it'd probably be to join Man United.

Tarry, what do you think the score will be tonight with England vs. Scotland?
I saw a lot of English people today and I was trying to play it cool like I think Scotland really have a chance but realistically I just hope they don't embarrass themselves like the under 21's did last night.

I think 2-0 to England is a realistic score.

I'm surprised they've went 14 years without playing each other. It's a shame it's not a competitive match.

I picked my Fantasy Football team for the season.
S. Mignolet Rafael P. Jones T. Vermaelen D. Santon T. Walcott M. Dembele J. Wilshere J. Navas Y. Sanogo R. Lukaku
I’m going to try and remember to keep up with it this season unlike last year when I forgot about it by October.

Gareth Bale isn't worth £85 million.

If they paid £50-60M for Bale I would have even said that was a little too much.
The price Arsenal are paying for Mesut Ozil is crazy too. When I heard they were signing him I thought it would maybe be £20M or so at the most, but £42M?? The guy can’t even get in the Real Madrid team.
If Man United get Maroune Fellaini before the deadline for under £30M I think that’ll be one of the best deals of the summer. That’s a bargain compared to most of the other big signings lately. I’m not sure why all the other top clubs in Europe haven’t been trying to get him this summer if he was available for that. Well, except Barcelona who don’t exactly need central midfielders.
