Since this is gonna be my last Pokémon play through (for real this time), I wanted to hype it up a bit by giving you guys some trivia on each of our Pokémon to get to know them better - mostly for Burke and MC, but I thought the rest of you might find it cool as well for the nostalgia factor. Pichu / Pikachu / Raichu Pikachu stores electricity in the electric sacs on its cheeks. When it releases pent-up energy in a burst, the electric power is equal to a lightning bolt. When several of these Pokémon gather, their electricity could build and cause lightning storms. Pikachu raises its tail to check its surroundings. The tail is sometimes struck by lightning in this pose. A female Pikachu's tail ends in the upper half of a heart. When electricity builds up inside of Raichu's body, it becomes feisty. It also glows in the dark.
Igglybuff / Jigglypuff / Wigglytuff Jigglypuff captivates foes with its huge, round eyes, then lulls them to sleep by singing a soothing melody. Nothing can avoid falling asleep hearing a Jigglypuff's song. The sound waves of its singing voice match the brain waves of someone in a deep sleep. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Solid Snake asks, "Jigglypuff? Is that some kind of marshmallow?" The rich, fluffy fur that covers Wigglytuff's body feels so good that anyone who feels it can't stop touching it.
Oddish / Gloom / Vileplume During the daytime, Oddish buries itself in soil to absorb nutrients from the ground using its entire body. The more fertile the soil, the glossier its leaves become. Oddish is said to scream loudly if anyone tries to yank it out of the ground. It is most likely based on a mandrake. Gloom releases a foul fragrance from the pistil of its flower. When faced with danger, the stench worsens. If this Pokémon is feeling calm and secure, it does not release its usual stinky aroma. Gloom appears to resemble the nocturnal flower known as Rafflesia arnoldii, which has a foul odor. The fact that its terrible smelling pollen can be made into a wonderful perfume and that 1 in 1000 people enjoy its smell may be a reference to skunks, whose musk has similar qualities. Vileplume's Japanese name is a direct translation of "Rafflesia." It has the world's largest petals. With every step, the petals shake out heavy clouds of toxic pollen, turning the air yellow. Vileplume's toxic pollen triggers atrocious allergy attacks. That's why it is advisable never to approach any attractive flowers in a jungle, however pretty they may be.
Growlithe / Arcanine It may be cute, but when you approach another Trainer's Growlithe, it will bark at you and bite. It has a brave and trustworthy nature. It fearlessly stands up to bigger and stronger foes. The beta Pokémon names in Red and Blue listed Growlithe as "Flamie." Arcanine's prototype name was "Blaze." Arcanine is known for its high speed. It is said to be capable of running over 6,200 miles in a single day and night. The fire that blazes wildly within this Pokémon's body is its source of power. Originally, Arcanine was going to be a Legendary Pokémon, but the idea was scrapped when it was given a pre-evolution. Though Arcanine is not a Legendary Pokémon, it was seen in an engraving along with Legendary Pokémon Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos in Pokémon Emergency!.
Geodude / Graveler / Golem Geodude can be found in fields and mountains. Mistaking them for boulders, people often step or trip on them. Graveler grows by feeding on rocks. Mossy rocks are its favorite food. It can devour a ton a day while crunching loudly. As Golem, its body, which weighs over 660 pounds, is as hard as stone. It grows bigger by shedding its skin once a year. The discarded shell immediately hardens and crumbles away.
Staryu / Starmie At night, Staryu floats up from the sea floor, and its body's center core slowly flickers with the same rhythm as a human heartbeat, apparently communicating with the stars in the night sky. As Starmie, its central core glows with the seven colors of the rainbow. Because of its luminous nature, this Pokémon has been given the nickname "the gem of the sea," and some actually value its core as a gem. It is said that it uses the seven colored core of its body to send electric waves into outer space to communicate with . . . something, which has been known to cause headaches to those who approach it. In fact, this Pokémon may have even come from outer space. Because of its geometric body, locals suspect that it is an alien creature. Some even theorize that Starmie is somehow connected to the Mythical Pokémon, Deoxys. Both send mysterious radio signals into the night sky, can regenerate their arms as long as their gem-like core remains intact, are genderless, and are Psychic-type.
Smoochum / Jynx Jynx walks rhythmically, swaying and shaking its hips as if it were dancing. Its motions are so bouncingly alluring, people seeing it are compelled to shake their hips without giving any thought to what they are doing. Originally, Jynx was depicted as having black skin, but Pokémon changed its skin color to purple when many players complained that it appeared to be a racist Pokémon in black-face. Because of this, the Pokémon episode Holiday Hi-Jynx was pulled from rotation shortly after it aired. However, when Jynx faints in the Pokémon Stadium series, everything but its hair vanishes, implying that its armor and black "skin" is darkness. Similarly, in Colosseum and XD, it simply vanishes upon fainting.
Dratini / Dragonair / Dragonite Long considered a mythical Pokémon, Dratini is called the "Mirage Pokémon" because so few have seen it. Its reclusive nature, aquatic habitat, and the fact that for a long time it was considered a myth are reminiscent of the Loch Ness Monster. As Dragonair, it exudes a gentle aura that give it a mystical look. Its crystalline orbs appear to give this Pokémon the power to freely control the weather, and though it has no wings, it has even been seen flying occasionally. Dragonair may also be based on the imugi, a proto-dragon that resembles a snake and lives in water or caves, much like Dragonair. After an imugi lives a thousand years, a jewel (called a Yeouiju) will fall from the sky. If the imugi catches it, it will become a true dragon - Dragonite. An extremely rarely seen marine Pokémon, Dragonite's intelligence is said to match that of humans. It is a kindhearted Pokémon that leads lost and foundering ships in a storm to the safety of land. This "sea guardian" is said to be capable of flying around the globe in about 16 hours.

I also bought a Magikarp for 500. Of course Pokemon have their own currency.

It may almost be Christmas, but we're back with a spoopy update! First, we battled Blue yet again in Pokémon Tower ( a Pokémon graveyard), then settled the paranormal disturbance that was happening there: Shortly after this, I evolved Pikachu and Gloom into Raichu and Vileplume: Then we battled Blue again, while we were trying to stop Team Rocket from taking over the Silph Co., before battling Giovanni again as well, and being given the Master Ball by the President of Silph: And finally, we defeated Sabrina for the Marsh Badge: We were also given a Lapras by a Silph employee for defeating Team Rocket. Team to date: Side Pokémon:

Santa clearly didn't come thru this year, so she had to take matters into her own (mother's) hands.
