Whether it's through their work in stand up, TV, movies or whatever.
My all time favourite is a tie between George Carlin and Larry David.
Current favourite is Louis CK.

I’ve been putting a bunch of newer stand up specials on my iTunes. I needed new stuff since there’s only so many times you can listen to Louis CK.
Bill Burr is great and has quickly become one of my favourites. I had only heard bits and pieces from him before but actually listening to his shows now he’s pretty damn good.
Daniel Tosh too. I can understand why some people would find his stuff offensive but for me personally, hardly anything is off limits when it comes to comedy.
Donald Glover and Aziz Anzari are pretty good although I like them better on their respective shows.
If anyone has any other suggestions for me to check out, fire away.

Mitch Hedbgerg was hilarious.
Demetri Martin, Mike Birbiglia, Jim Gaffigan, Eddie Izzard, and Billy Connolly are all great.
Stephen Lynch is usually funny.

Doug Stanhope is great. I've been listening to his specials. Mitch Hedbgerg was hilarious. I've listened to all his stuff now. He's probably in my top 3 all time comedians now.

Hannibal Buress is hilarious. I've seen him guest star on Louie before but I just started listening to his stand-up and he's amazing.

I've downloaded GB's worth of stand up specials lately, mostly from people I had never listened to before.
I like Greg Giraldo's stuff. Like Mitch Hedberg, I wish I was aware of him when he was alive.
Chad Daniels is good too. There's a lot of good stuff out there that I wasn't aware of.

I read the subject title as 'Whose Your Favorite Canadian' and for some reason I started panicking.
I recently watched some of Jim Jefferies stand up on netflix and it was hilarious. Janeane Garofalo had a stand up special on there too that made me fall in love with her.

I feel the need to mention how much I can't stand Joe Rogan. It's weird because I liked him as X-Factor host and he's friends with a lot of other comedians I like so I feel like I should like him. He just annoys me though. Janeane Garofalo had a stand up special on there too that made me fall in love with her. This is creepy timing. I'm literally watching a YouTube video of a 90's HBO special of hers right now.

I've never heard anyone with a drier delivery than Todd Barry. He's great.
