Justin Bieber given four weeks to save pet monkey from quarantine
Mally, a 14-week-old capuchin monkey, is the latest unknowing victim to cross paths with the increasingly erratic Justin Bieber.
Bieber’s pet monkey was quarantined five days ago at a German airport after the singer failed to produce the relevant paperwork necessary to board a plane with the pet. Mally is still stuck in a Munich animal sanctuary while Bieber tours across Europe.
It turns out that Mally, who has replaced Bieber with a “toy cat,” is doing just so-so:
From Der Spiegel:
But the baby monkey is also “clearly traumatised.” Joachim told Central European News that “[The monkey was] apparently taken away from its mother when it was between nine and 10 weeks old. This is much too early … Those who were looking after it should have known.”
Although the two were reported to be “inseparable,” neither the Biebs nor his team has been in touch with the animal sanctuary. He has four weeks to fill out the paperwork and faces fines up to $17,000, excluding the cost of quarantine. Poor little monkey

Justin Bieber: I hope Anne Frank 'would have been a Belieber'If Anne Frank had been alive today, her diary might have been devoted to Justin Bieber — at least that's what the singer hopes.
Bieber visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam and, according to the museum's Facebook page, left an interesting message in the guest book. "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a Belieber," the museum quoted Bieber as writing. (For the uninitiated, Beliebers are devotees of Bieber.)

Taylor Swift helping Selena Gomez write Justin Bieber break-up song
Taylor Swift is helping Selena Gomez write a break-up track reflecting on the end of her relationship with Justin Bieber.
Gomez confessed that she has turned to her country star friend for advice on turning her feelings into pop hits.
"Yeah, she obviously has her own technique to it that works so well with her and she just knows how to make hits," Gomez told Ellen DeGeneres this week.
"I like to keep things a little more internal and that's just because I'm trying to dabble into it a little bit more and she's helped me actually, giving me great advice on how to do that."
Gomez added that she considers Swift to be one of the strongest people she knows, since the star has faced her own relationship troubles in the past.
"I think she's one of the strongest girls I've ever met, to be honest, I think she's really strong and very passionate," she said. "I love that."

I have to be honest, I'm starting to enjoy Bieber. Not his music, of course, it's still terrible.

Justin Bieber's Tour Bus Searched, Drugs Found
Justin Bieber's lengthy tour of Europe has lurched into another mishap, this time in Sweden.
The singer's bus was searched by Stockholm authorities after police smelled marijuana onboard the vehicle, a police spokesperson told the Associated Press. Unidentified drugs and a stun gun were found and no arrests were made, the AP noted.
"Some of the rumors about me .... where do people even get this stuff. whatever ... back to the music," Bieber wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

To be fair, his entire entourage rides his tour bus and the police did nothing because they couldn't prove who it belonged to. So, bloop bloop bloop

Justin Bieber, Usher Slapped With $10 Million Copyright Infringement Lawsuit A pair of guys who actually want to take credit for writing Justin Bieber's "Somebody to Love" are seeking big bucks
Justin Bieber and his mentor, R&B singer Usher, are being sued for $10 million by a pair of songwriters who claim that Bieber's hit song "Somebody to Love" was stolen from them, according to a complaint obtained by TheWrap.
In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in eastern Virginia on Thursday, Devin Copeland -- an R&B singer who performs under the name De Rico -- and songwriter Mareio Overton say that they wrote "Somebody to Love" in 2008, the same year that De Rico released the song on his album "My Story II."
The pair later met up with a promoter who hooked them up with music talent scouting company Sangreel Media, who said that they exposed Usher to Copeland's album, the lawsuit claims.
According to the complaint, the pair later spoke to Usher's mother/sometimes manager, Jonetta Patton, who said that Usher had listened to the album and expressed interest in bringing Copeland on tour with him.
Usher worked up a demo version of the tune and posted it on YouTube, the suit says, and while he ultimately decided not to record it, Bieber did, including it on his album "My World 2.0."
The song, released by Bieber as a single, went to Number 15 on the charts, according to the suit. Moreover, Usher released a remix of the song, taking lead vocals with Bieber singing backup.
The suit cites numerous similarities between the plaintiffs' "Somebody to Love" and the Bieber/Usher version. Aside from the identical title, the suit says that the songs have the same time signature and chorus hook, both use similar chords at similar points in the songs, and both feature "call and response" passages at similar points in the songs.
Perhaps most damningly, the suit claims, both songs "use one measure of strategic silence just prior to or at the beginning of the chorus."
Copeland and Overton are hoping that silence speaks volumes, and are asking for "an amount not less that Ten Million and 00/100 Dollars ($10,000,000.00) or other such amount as may be proven at trial."
Bieber's manager and attorney have not yet responded to TheWrap's request for comment on the suit, which alleges copyright infringement, contributory infringement and vicarious infringement. I don't know what these guys' song sounds like. Never heard of them or their album. But Somebody to Love was the first Bieber song that made me start warming to his music a little bit. They're just mad they got shown up by a 16 year old:

TMZ actually posted something nice about Biebs. Hath Hell frozen over??
They still gotta throw their snide comments about his shirt tho. Surprised they didn't completely turn this around like they normally do and say he was ripping the shoes from the child's feet.

I can't hate on Biebs too much anyway ever since I saw this story recently: Teen pop megastar Justin Bieber made a little girl’s dream come true last week when he gave the eight-year-old fan her first kiss (on the cheek) and accepted her marriage proposal at a Make-A-Wish Foundation event in Atlanta.
Bieber made the “engagement” extra special by getting down on one knee and putting a blue-and-red Ring Pop on the finger of adorable Annalysha Brown-Rafanan. The young fan, who is suffering from a life threatening liver condition, chose to meet Bieber because “he’s cute and I love him.”
The 19-year-old singer has granted 200 wishes to date, making him one of the most charitable celebrities in the history of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
After taking photos with Bieber, the vivacious little fan was given an opportunity to interview the star. Reading carefully from her notecard, she asked Bieber a number of questions, including “What’s your favorite place to travel?” and “What’s your favorite video game?” But the last, and most important, question was, “Will you marry me?”
But when Rafanan presented Bieber with the Ring Pop, the pop star reached for the larger-than-life jewel-shaped candy ring and said, “I’m supposed to ask you.” Then he got down on one knee and said, “Will you marry me?” and the delighted little girl said, “Yes.” If I was in a video game it would automatically be my favourite game too. Who wouldn't want to play as yourself??

Is that a binding verbal contract? It's on video. She's gonna be hitting him up like "I got this ring on my finger now when we gonna do this?"
