I really want them to cast Holland Roden as Ariel, it probably won't happen, but I think she'd be the perfect Ariel.

I read they cast the daughter from Reba as Ariel. Not the ugly brunette/redhead/whatever one with the pinched face, the hot blonde one.
This show lost me in season 2. I wasn't into it enough to keep watching online. If they released season 2 on Netflix tho I wouldn't mind catching up.

Awww, I remember reading an article years ago talking about that's who they wanted. I'm still sad that Holland Roden wasn't considered, even though she's a regular on Teen Wolf. But I still love JoAnna Garcia.

‘Once Upon A Time’ Season 3: Gil McKinney Cast As Ariel’s Prince EricGil will romance JoAnna Garcia’s Ariel for several episodes this fall. The search for the most perfect prince in all the land has finally come to an end; Gil McKinney has been cast as Prince Eric on the upcoming third season of Once Upon A Time, HollywoodLife.com‘s sister site TVLine is reporting. Largely regarded as the handsomest prince in the Walt Disney universe, Eric will make his Once debut on the sixth episode of the show’s third season, appropriately titled “Ariel.” Ariel, meanwhile, will be played by JoAnna Garcia, who recently tweeted her excitement over getting to slip on the little mermaid’s iconic fins: Excited 2 finally be able to share that I will be swimming into @onceabc as ‘Ariel’! So honored 2 be able to play such a beloved character! … Totally overwhelmed by this love! I have been an enormous fan of @onceabc 4 so long! Grateful 2 have the support of all of its beloved fans! If Gil’s phenomenal mug looks familiar to you, then you’ve probably caught one of his many guest appearances. To name just a few shows, Gil has been featured on The CW’s Supernatural, TNT’s Perception and NBC’s Friday Night Lights. Source: hollywoodlife.com/2013/09/04/once-upon-a-time-prince-eric-gil-mckinney-season-3/I'm excited. 'Once Upon a Time in Wonderland' casts Iggy PopIggy Pop in Wonderland? Fits! If you’re going down the psychedelic rabbit hole, you wouldn’t be too surprised to stumble across the punk rock godfather. Iggy will play the voice of The Caterpillar in ABC’s Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. “But wait!” you cry. Isn’t the hookah-smoking mushroom-perched insect voiced by another rock god — Roger Daltrey? He was when Once Upon a Time visited Wonderland. But we’re told Daltrey wasn’t available for the new series so the part was recast. Other Wonderland character voices include John Lithgow as the White Rabbit and veteran actor Keith David, who was recently cast as the voice of the Cheshire Cat. Source: insidetv.ew.com/2013/09/16/once-upon-a-time-in-wonderland-iggy-pop/Technically 'Once Upon a Time' related. I'm really excited for this spin off though. I think even though season 2 of OUaT was kind of a let down, this one has a lot more potential, especially if it isn't mostly centered in Storybrooke. That was probably my biggest issue with the last season (aside from it not having any sort of direction). And 'Wonderland' looks promising, since they're including Jafar, it makes me wonder what other characters they'll use. I really wanna see Jasmine and Aladdin in some capacity.

I'm not sure if it's because Glee was so, so bad, but I'm barely 10 minutes into the Once Upon a Time premiere and I'm already loving it. I know last season was kinda iffy, I wouldn't call it bad, but it just felt like there wasn't a real sense of direction. This season I think has potential to top the first season, especially if they keep the focus of the show away from Storybrooke.
I'm just so glad this show is back.

For once I was interested in all arcs of the show, but also I'm happy that they all tie in with each other. And I was super stoked to see Mulan, Aurora, and Prince Philip back. Also I had trouble deciding whom I found more attractive between Hook, Charming, and Neal. I haven't been this happy with a season premiere in a long time. This definitely makes up for the travesty that was Glee.

Thankfully they did one of those one-hour catch up specials before the premiere, because I really couldn't be bothered with season two's side plots. I'm gonna give it a chance later today.
